Special Olympics Georgia-Area 7 depends on our volunteers, and we are always happy to expand our team. Find the volunteer opportunities that fit your time and talents!
Hands-On Volunteer Opportunities
Many people who want to get involved with Special Olympics Georgia really want to dig in. We have opportunities for people who have the right attitude and character to work with athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Most hands-on volunteer opportunities are considered “Class A” volunteers, which include:
- Coaches
- Nurses
- Bus drivers
- Chaperones
There may be other hands-on volunteer opportunities, such as ushering, concessions, facility management and/or cleanup. Most hands-on volunteer opportunities are related to one of our four annual sports events.
Administrative Volunteer Opportunities
Special Olympics Georgia Area 7 is a volunteer-only administrative branch of Special Olympics Georgia. To effectively serve the organization and the athletes in our district, administrative positions typically involve one or more years of commitment.
Community Support Volunteer Opportunities
Special Olympics Georgia-Area 7 has volunteer opportunities for those who want to support our mission from where they are with what they have. We can always use help with tasks like:
- Sending emails
- Printing flyers
- Creating an online photo album of a recent event
- Fundraising
- Contacting sponsors
