In SOGA Area 7, everyone can make a difference. From setting up events to fundraising to volunteering your medical skills, there are plenty of ways that you can get involved and help transform lives. There is a place for everyone!
Athletes
Sports opportunities are available for individuals with and without disabilities! In SOGA, you can train to compete in several categories. We also offer unified sports opportunities!
Coaches
Special Olympic coaches foster personal growth and physical fitness of athletes before, during, and after a competition. Some of our coaches are former Special Olympics athletes themselves, though that is not a requirement. All of our coaches are offered professional training and accreditation at coaches clinics which are held year-round.
Celebrities 
Special Olympics is supported by numerous Georgia-area celebrities, including the Atlanta Braves. Our athletes get to meet their heroes and celebrity athletes can support community involvement in a meaningful way!
Families
The families of athletes and coaches are an essential ingredient to Special Olympics community involvement. Our family network supports our athletes and coaches through fundraising, community gatherings, and cheering on our athletes, of course!

Volunteer Opportunities
Special Olympics is always looking for qualified and compassionate volunteers to help out with our events. Whatever your skill set is – we can put you to work for a great cause. Volunteer opportunities are available for all ages, backgrounds, and professions.

Special Olympics is a nonprofit, global organization – almost all of our leaders are volunteers. We are able to do what we do because we continue to invest in our athletes, giving them access to modified sports equipment when required. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
