Special Olympics Sports Events for Children Area 7 Georgia

One of the main goals of Special Olympics is to build confidence and expand abilities of athletes with intellectual disabilities. We can only achieve that goal by providing children with authentic athletic competitions. Area 7 of Special Olympics Georgia hosts and participates in a range of sports events for children as young as eight years old.

Regional sports events take place throughout Area 7, which includes Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Jasper, Jones, Monroe, Putnam, Twiggs, Upson and Wilkinson counties. When sport events are outside our region, we may coordinate travel and/or provide some financial support to allow athletes and their families to participate.
